Maximus Brood

The ranking system is essential to maintain order within the clan and hold it together. You can get promoted through hard work, activity and having the right attitude in the eyes of the Commanders. Those who can't appreciate the importance of the hierarchy won't last long, so make sure you understand it!

The Commander is the highest and most prestigious rank within the clan. It was introduced in 2002 following a change in leadership. The Commander supersedes the General as the person responsible for maintaining whole clan, both SC and SC2, and making the choices and decisions which will see it prosper. The Commander is personally responsible for sorting out arguments which get out of hand between members, and enforcing the rules as stated on the rules section of the site. Only long standing members with exemplary service records may be promoted to the position of Commander, and they must be aware of the responsibility it entails.

The rank of General was originally the leading rank in the clan. The rank still holds a huge amount of importance and responsibility. Members can only get to this rank through because active on a very regular basis, and contributing much to the clan on battle.net and on the website forum. The general is expected to support his Commander(s), backing them up and helping to implement their decisions. Generals may also be expected to take on an additional task, such as running a tournament or league. They are also responsible for monitoring the progress of trialists and reporting to the Commander. It is extremely important that Generals are in place to help the Commander with the running of the clan, hence why they're specific for either Starcraft or Starcraft II. For this reason, inactive Generals will not be tolerated and demoted very quickly. Getting to this rank is all about loyalty, ambition and activity.

The Lieutenant General is a major tier up in the ranking system. From this rank up, the responsibility grows enormously, and the new powers are more noticeable. Lieutenant Generals are expected to help maintain member profiles and generally keep their finger on the pulse, reporting to their Generals and Commanders on issues they think they should be aware of. A Lieutenant General is often a very long standing member, who has show loyalty and commitment. They also hold deputy positions in some of the squads, and for this reason it is essential that they are active in order to facilitate the process of organising squad matches.

This rank normally holds the oldschool active players, everyone respects them cause they are in the clan for ages and are mannered and open to others. Take on some more responsibilities and in time you will get here!

Greatness and sealing your place in the top cheese of the Maximus Brood are only a stone's throw away here. Can you handle more responsibility? Taking on commitments, for example organising a miniature tournament, offering to help maintain member profiles, or just high levels of activity are ways to prove that you are indeed worthy of more responsibility and progressing higher up the rankings system. Keep the lower ranks in order, give advice to you fellow members and generally help out will make the Commanders sit down and realise a promotion is just what you need.

By now you know what the Maximus Brood is all about. You will be expected to fully support the decisions of senior Commanders and Generals, and generally help out with keeping the lower ranks in order in any way possible. Continue to respect the judgement of your long standing and senior members. Often, members at this stage will delay further progress by getting frustrated and starting to question the wisdom of higher rankings. This will see you crashing back down to a lower rank, so you must remember never to do this. Continue to earn respect, wisdom and loyalty and this will see you through up to the next ranking.

Hooah solider! You're almost out of the middle phase of rankings now, but this rank is often a frustrating wait to make it into the big time. Your loyalty and commitment are to be tested to the full here, but that is not the only thing that you must prove in order to get a higher rank. You should have proven that you can handle minor responsibilities, and must show the ambition to take on more and help the clan to grow and expand.

Captains should actively be looking to get involved in all aspects of clan life. You must be looking to extend your knowledge and respect to help out new recruits and guide them in the right direction. Your loyalty and commitment to get to this stage would have been tested, but you're still not leadership material yet, soldier! Keep those lower rankings in line, keep the arguments at bay and the Commanders will be forced to take notice of you.

You've earned the respect and trust of the seniors by now, you must have been active to get here. You are expected to take some responsibility now for members in the lower ranks, helping them out and generally giving the clan a positive feel. Any minor squabbles between privates for example, you should be looking to sort out if you are the ranking officer on site. Continue to earn more respect and learn the value of patience, loyalty and commitment, and you will soon be rising up the rankings again.

Every army will say the same, the war was won by the guys on the ground. And the most important guy on the ground is the Sergeant. He must keep the troops going forward and be persistant in holding up the clans values! Your experience got you here, take it a step further by for example managing a team or event.

Corporals are very important for the clan they symbolize steady clan members who have stood out from the crowd. Big things may lie ahead if you just stick to it, take the initiative to go up the ranks!

Your first promotion, well done! Youre starting to be noticed for your loyalty or initiative. Try to be a help for the clan by participating in clan wars, league and squad wars.

Congratulations! You achieved it. You are a normal and functional member of our clan. Do you have what it takes to be more then "normal"? Loyalty and activity will help you to advance further from this position...
Usually all members pass this rank, unless they are lured by the "dark side" and join another clan.
Are you with us, or against us, young padawan?...
